Google Nexus One gets multi-touch and 3G fixes in latest update

Google_nexus_one_multitouch It looks like Google Nexus One owners have reason to celebrate with the release of a new update that brings the much debated and desired multi-touch support to the premier Android handset.

Specifically, it adds pinch-to-zoom functionality to the web browser, photo gallery, and map applications. Google Maps has also been updated to version 3.4, enabling search suggestions, a dedicated night mode for better viewing in the dark, and synchronizing starred locations between the phone and computer. In addition, the update includes a range of 3G fixes to address problems regarding 3G connectivity and also includes Google Goggles, the company's new visual search app that allows users to take a photo of something and search for information about it, examples being landmarks, logos, record covers, books, contact information, and artwork. Google plans to roll out the update to most users by the end of the week. Any Nexus One owners able to give us their impressions?
