Thanks for reading: Look at what you’ve done!
When I started Pocketables on a late afternoon about 3.5 years ago, I never could have imagined that it would become my full-time job. I didn't think something like that was even possible to be honest, as I hadn't been following the blog scene and thought blogs could only be personal journals about what people did that day. I started it as nothing more than a daily writing outlet for myself and never expected to gain an audience.
And even though I've been "pro blogging" for a few years now and Pocketables is very small compared to many of the other sites you probably visit, when I sit back and think about how something that began as a hobby is now how I make a living, I'm still baffled and humbled.
Within the last few weeks, Pocketables has won a Golden Retrevo Award in the "New & Cool Gadgets & Gizmos" category, been named as one of Konector's Top 50 Gadget Blogs, and been the reason I've been named as one of 20 Smart Mobile Device Pundits by Freescale. The site has been recognized before (you can see how and by whom on the About page), but these are its most prestigious honors so far.
And none of it would have been possible without you, the readers of Pocketables. Without your continued support, the site wouldn't be what it is today and wouldn't have the potential of what it could be in the future. Thank you so much for reading, commenting, lurking, arguing, and just being a part of the Pocketables community. You guys are the best!
