We've all drooled over the specs, and they remain mostly the same for the US model, with upgrades to both the RAM and ROM, plus that all-important 3G band. T-Mobile has decided to bring along some very nice add-ons, just like we mentioned a while back, including movie rentals and streaming from Blockbuster, in-flight Internet service from Gogo, and an eReader app from Barnes & Noble. Not to be left out, MobiTV provides a variety of programming over WiFi or 3G, and for the Megan Fox fans, Transformers and Transformers 2 are both preloaded on the included microSD card.
It remains to be seen how the lack of an upgrade path will affect sales of the HD2, but for most people it probably won't be an issue. I know Jenn is ready to storm the T-Mobile website on the 24th, upgrade or not, since she jettisoned her non-3G HD2 a few weeks back. Will anyone else be joining her, or is the lure of losing cut-and-paste and true multitasking on Windows Phone 7 Series too appealing?
