T-Mobile’s HD2 now listed as “coming soon,” plus some real-life shots

It's still hard for me to grasp the fact that within about two weeks or so, I will be able to walk into a T-Mobile brick-and-mortar and possibly purchase my very own almost-mythical HTC HD2 for around $200 with a new contract. Well, of course the phone has already been in existence for some time, but it's not often that we here in the US have access to such advanced smartphones unless we go the unlocked or Apple route.

As of today, T-Mobile has updated their website to actually show the HD2 as "coming soon," along with specs and a few photos instead of renderings. Even though the excitement might have been dulled just a bit with last week's announcement by Microsoft that the HD2 will not be upgradeable to Windows Phone 7 Series, we can still hold out hope.

Even without an official upgrade, it will be upgradeable to some degree, thanks to the many WM enthusiasts out there. But after looking at some of the in-the-wild screenshots that follow after the break, I'm actually starting to think the HD2 might just be dandy enough the way it comes.
