LG GW990 Moorestown/MeeGo MID phone won’t be released

There's a gadget-killing disease going around this week, and the latest victim whose life ended before it even really began is the Moorestown-based, MeeGo-running LG GW990 MID phone. Though the panoramic touchscreened-device won't have as many mourners as the Microsoft Courier or HP Slate, especially since it was only on track to be a citizen of South Korea, it will still be missed.

Intel had been showing off a variant of this very long device as a Moorestown concept since September 2007 and has a long history of prototypes that never go into mass production, so it isn't completely unexpected that the GW900 has been wiped off the roadmap with no explanation. I just hope this isn't setting the stage for what's to come of Moorestown MIDs in general.
