Next on the list of Nexus One news from Android and Me comes the possibility of drivers being readied for Android 2.2 to unlock the Wireless-N chipset that has been dormant up until now. Google and Broadcom, the maker of the wireless setup in the phone, have released new drivers that Steve Kondik, the man behind the popular CyanogenMod ROMs, has already rolled into his next release. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that these new drivers actually make it into Froyo!
And finally, Engadget says we now have official word from SiriusXM that their iPhone app is being ported over to Android and will be available very soon. The press release lists only the Motorola Droid and Nexus One as compatible, but should probably be taken as any Android 2.1 device. This new streaming app should have fans of the satellite music service jumping for joy, which is exactly what I’m doing right now.
