Aigo in overdrive with release of N520 Maemo MID
Aigo has been frequently making the headlines recently with several new product announcements like the N700, E500, 7007, and Walkshow NX7001 to name a few. The company doesn't appear to be slowing down with yet another new MID being revealed today, the Aigo N520. Running Maemo like the Walkshow NX7001 and bearing a striking resemblance to the ZTE V7 MID, it's uncertain whether the N520 is in fact a rebranded V7, or just happens to be extremely similar. There are a few minor differences in the design and the layout of the full QWERTY keyboard, but apart from that the two devices are nearly identical, including the 4.08-inch WVGA resistive touch screen, 806MHz Marvell PXA310 processor, GPS, 3G (CDMA/EVDO), b/g WiFi, and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity. Like the V7, the N520 will also feature full telephone functionality.
Combing through the rest of the specifications does reveal a few differences and some new information, with the N520 possessing a 2MP camera instead of a 3.2MP one, 128MB RAM, 256MB NAND flash, 4 to 32GB of local storage, accelerometer, USB host, and a larger 2000mAh battery instead of the V7's 1800mAh unit. Aigo's latest creation is expected to be available in China soon, with a price of around US$300. Head over to the company's official site for a closer look at the full specs and let us know what you think.
