HTC EVO 4G gets silver Ford SYNC rating
Here’s some pretty good news for anyone who drives a Ford vehicle with voice-activated SYNC features.
The HTC EVO 4G has received a silver SYNC certified rating, which means it can connect to your car via Bluetooth, automatically download your phonebook (so you don’t have to manually input anything like on bronze-rated phones), and make/receive/end a hands-free call using voice commands and your speaker system.
Gold-rated phones also have SMS texting support, which sounds better than it actually is (incoming texts are read to you, but you can only respond with one of fifteen generic messages) so I don’t think too many Ford-driving HTC EVO owners will be unhappy with the silver rating.
