HTC EVO 4G used to demo upcoming SlingPlayer Mobile

Evo-sling

It's been nearly a year and a half since Sling Media was first believed to be working on bringing its SlingPlayer Mobile app to Android, and now we finally know with certainty that Slingbox users will be able to sling all of their home TV setup's content onto their phones soon. How? The company put out a short video (below) today to show off the app running on none other than the HTC EVO 4G.

With its 1GHz Snapdragon processor, large 4.3-inch screen, and WiMAX connectivity, the EVO is clearly the obvious choice to use in a demonstration. The status bar on the home screen doesn't show that the EVO is actively connected to anything before SlingPlayer Mobile is launched, though I assume the 3G connection (which you can see in the status bar) kicked in before the app started its smooth stream.
