Nexus One sculpture dwarfed by Android and desserts

Googlelawn

While we wait for photographic evidence of the giant frozen yogurt sculpture—confirmed to be made of foam and rather heavy—that was delivered to the Googleplex yesterday morning to commemorate the impending arrival of Android 2.2 (FroYo), here's a nice shot of the lawn art as it used to look that I snagged from the Android Developers Blog.

A video of the oversized tribute to 2.1 (Eclair) being set into place made it rounds last October, but I don't remember that large Nexus One (interesting scale) getting the same kind of semi-viral treatment when it was added to the landscape earlier this year (presumably in January to coincide with the handset's release). This photo is actually the first time I've ever seen it.

I guess finding an outdoor power source for the enormous Mac Mini-powered Nexus One that was in Google's lobby wasn't an option.
