Purchase an Archos 5 Android tablet, receive a free GPS Kit

A5a_mom

Just barely avoiding the junk filter of my Inbox yesterday was an offer from Archos, who is giving away a free GPS Kit ($79 value) with the purchase of a 32GB version ($379.99) of the venerable Archos 5 Android tablet. For those who have been on the fence, this might be the perfect time to grab one, considering the A5A is the only 5-inch device of its kind that's actually available to purchase right now while others (*cough* Dell Streak *cough*) remain empty promises.

The GPS Kit includes a custom car mount complete with windshield suction cup and power cord, as well as US and Canadian maps. With one of the recent firmware updates for the A5A, Archos disabled the ability to use the built-in FM transmitter without the car mount, so this would be a great solution for not only navigation, but music as well.

It's hard to fault Archos for trying to capitalize off Mother's Day, and even harder to imagine an army of tech-savvy Moms out there who would like an Android tablet as a gift on their special day, but if they do exist, I salute them. And now, their sons and daughters can help keep them going in the right direction.
