Sony sets a date for new ultra mobile Vaio debut

Update: New Sony Vaio P announced.

If you've been tossing and turning every night since Sony put up that teaser page a few weeks ago about its new paperclip-inspired ultra mobile Vaio that was "coming soon," then get ready to sleep peacefully tomorrow night. Because according to the updated image you see above, the new Vaio will be announced in Japan on Tuesday, May 11th, at 10 a.m.

That's Monday (tomorrow!) at 3 p.m. here in Hawaii, 6 p.m. on the West Coast, and 9 p.m. on the East Coast.

Will it be the next-generation Vaio P we've been expecting for a few months? Probably. But there's still one more night to dream of something a little more exciting like a new UX Micro PC, some kind of slate, an updated mylo, or that PSP hybrid that's been in the rumor mill for way too long to not be true.
