Dell Streak support documents now available online
A product page for the Dell Streak has yet to appear on the company's US website, but a handful of PDFs for the mobile internet device can already be downloaded from Dell.com's support page.
Now available for your viewing pleasure are the Dell Streak Quick Reference Guide, Connection Guide, Troubleshooting Guide, Security and Software Reset Guide, and a guide on how to synchronize using the Dell PC Suite software preloaded on the device.
Nothing new is revealed in the material, but it's interesting to see what's identified as some common issues for the Streak in the troubleshooting guide:
- SIM card error
- Poor reception
- Unable to make/receive calls and send/receive MMS
- Echo or noise during calls
- Unable to add contacts or use certain calling features
- Shortened standby time
There are other issues listed too, but these are the ones that stood out to me because they're all related to the cell radio. I find that a little worrisome for those looking to use the Streak as their primary phone, but none of the solutions in the guide are major so maybe they're not a big deal.
