Sony Vaio P in stock and now shipping from US SonyStyle, one week early

If there's a silver lining to the cloud that is the limited configurations of the US-variant of the second-gen Vaio P, maybe a sooner-than-expected shipping date is it. Coming just barely a week after the diminutive Sony first appeared on the US SonyStyle site, it now looks like those of you who have been patiently waiting for the original ship date of June 25th can now have your new toy a little sooner, if not as soon as some.

All colors of the new Vaio P, with the exception of the manly hot pink, are showing as in stock and ready to ship as of June 18th. Coupled with a fairly reasonable price just shy of $900, not to mention a shortage of alternatives in this category, the tiny Sony should find a receptive audience. To recap, the new model features the Atom Z530 processor running at 1.60GHz, along with 2GB RAM and a roomy 128GB SSD. Wireless options include 802.11bgn and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR.

Anyone who's been on the fence regarding waiting for the Viliv N5, or has possibly considered the Fujitsu UH900, it's just about decision time. Same goes for current owners of the original version who might be looking to upgrade to the latest and greatest. The Vaio P is here now, and it definitely has shown itself to be the complete package.
