Dell Streak promo gets top spot on Dell’s home page

Although the Dell Streak got its very own product page and presale opportunity the other day, the only way to find any of that back then was through a manual search for "streak" on the US website. Since the average consumer who doesn't know about the device wouldn't do that and Dell still hasn't issued a press release for mainstream media outlets to spread the word, there was basically no way for anyone who doesn't read tech blogs to know the company "fit the whole world into a 5" screen." These people may not be the target audience of the Streak, but most of them do know Dell, won't care about which version of Android is on the device, and could be tempted by the form factor because of the current wave of tablet fever sweeping the nation.

That's why it's great to see that the Streak is now in the first position of the rotating banner/promo section on Dell's home page. It will only be seen by people who actually visit the home page, of course, but it's still a step in the right direction. A baby step, yes, but at least Dell is sort of trying to let people know about the device now.

Thanks, Jonny!
