HTC EVO user seeking barcode scanner software recommendations

Barcode-scannerG&E reader WiMaxSatx needs some help. He’s looking for barcode scanner software that will let him use his HTC EVO 4G camera to scan the code and then feed the scanned information into an Excel spreadsheet. So what he wants is not just a simple barcode scanner app, but one that works in conjunction with PC software.

WiMaxSatx is a wireless dealer. Every week, he scans all of the inventory he has in his shop and submits the current numbers to his parent company. Due to the frequency of the task, he’d really like the most efficient method possible.

He’s currently using PC_BCR on his Windows 7 laptop and can connect over WiFi, Bluetooth, or USB cable. It’s getting the job done, but he doesn’t know if it’s really the best solution.

Any suggestions?
