Seidio updates Innotraveler Car Kit for HTC EVO

I don't think Seidio should replace its simple "Coming Soon" graphic for upcoming products with images that "are for illustration purposely only," but since that seems to be the company's MO, we may as well take a look at the latest rendering for its Innotraveler Car Kit for the HTC EVO.

G&E reader Straykat expressed some concern in an email to me about the description of the cradle, which currently reads "Charges and securely holds your HTC EVO 4G vertically." Before the image went up, he said, the word "horizontally" was used. A mount that swivels (like the HTC HD2 car mount mod) in all directions would be the most ideal, but if it had to be fixed, my guess is that most people would prefer a horizontal orientation for navigation purposes.

Like the desktop charging cradle and Innocase Snap, the Innotraveler Car Kit is still "under development" so it's best not to get too bent out of shape over the orientation just yet. There's no estimated ETA, which means that there's still plenty of time for the design to be overhauled or at least modified to accommodate a rotating cradle. Or maybe Seidio could turn it into a regular desktop dock, as I kind of like the look of it for that.

Better yet, HTC should just release the official car kit. What's taking so long?
