Dell Streak featured on front cover of August catalog
Although the layout and content may have been finalized long before whatever happened that caused the US launch delays, the Dell Streak is on the front cover of this month's Dell Catalog. It's easy to miss if you just glanced at the catalog while flipping through your mail (about 75% of the cover is devoted to the new Inspiron 14R notebook) and even easier if you're not on Dell's mailing list, but you can see it now in the company's online e-catalog and even download the PDF.
There's no new information to be gleaned from the full page devoted to the Streak (no mention of AT&T either), but keen-eyed readers will notice the red trim (and the correct button placement) of the device in the in-hand image. There is an unsubstantiated rumor going around that the red Streak will be released in the US before the already-packaged black one because Dell is loading Android 2.1 onto it, so you could certainly read into the red unit's inclusion in the catalog if you wanted to.
Either way, it's a good sign that Dell is starting to promote the Streak to a wider audience. I don't know how many people get the catalog, but I'm sure it's more than the number of people who read tech blogs.
