Dell Streak shown at LandWarNet 2010
There's an unfounded rumor going around that the Dell Streak has been indefinitely delayed in the US, and while recent activity on the company's website hasn't done much to dispel that (dell.com/streak often goes missing, searches yield no results, etc.), the device hasn't been abandoned.
The product page and pre-sale sign-up are still up, it's been mentioned in passing on Direct2Dell this month in a post about desktops, Dell reps are tweeting again (they had all recently fallen silent), and just last week the Streak was shown off at the LandWarNet 2010 conference in Florida.
The device was said to be "a hit with almost everyone who came to the Dell booth" not just because it’s an "exciting new consumer product [but] also because word is getting out about some of the GPS enabled applications that are perfect for the military available on the Streak."
Since we're all tracking the Streak with night-vision goggles at this point, it's encouraging to see movement that isn't being caused by the wind.
Thanks, CCPops!
