Then you absolutely have to check out Launch-X Pro (€0.99, free version also available). Recommended by G&E reader Khassy2010, Launch-X lets you display up to 49 apps, contacts, and shortcuts in a single 4×1 customizable widget.
You can choose between three layouts (up to 7 screens with 7 small icons max, a single screen with 7 small icons max, and a single two-row screen with up to 14 small icons), select your desired icon size, and decide whether you want arrows or direct buttons for switching between screens. You can also hide app labels, add or remove the settings button, change the background color and opacity, and use multiple widgets at one time. It's pretty amazing.
