Dell releases Streak kernel source code

Dell-logo-tr I don't think Dell was feeling too much heat from the community petition, but I'm sure at least someone at the company is looking forward to the end of receiving all those email requests, demands, and threats now that the Streak's kernel source code has been released.

Other than knowing that Dell is complying with the terms of the GPL, the release of the code doesn't mean much to the average user who has no interest in rooting, but it's big news for developers and hackers, who now have everything they need to make better custom ROMs, apps, and mods.

I'm sure they're already digging into the meat of the code right now, so it shouldn't be long before they start serving up very tasty treats to anyone who wants them. I'm already standing in line at the buffet and will share some of the best dishes here.
