Get a better dialer for your Dell Streak
Since many of you are using the Dell Streak as your primary phones, you might want to check out some of the alternate dialer apps available in Android Market.
One of the most popular is Dialer One (requires Android 2.1 or higher). What's nice about this free app (other than the price, of course) is that it supports T9 search, which means that pressing any key on the number pad will display all the names and numbers in your contacts list that match the selected key (number and letters). This makes calling anyone—including those not in your speed dial or favorites list—incredibly fast; no scrolling or searching required.
Dialer One is also highly customizable, allowing you to use your current wallpaper as the background, change font colors and T9 language, group calls by contact, add a permanent icon to the status bar for quick access, automatically call a contact when tapping his/her name, and more.
