Viliv N5 with 64GB SSD now available for $999

Viliv-n5-64gb High-end specs in a portable package don't come cheap, but if you've got $999 in your UMPC piggy bank, then I think it's time to break it open.

The Viliv N5 is now available in its best configuration ever. In addition to the 1.3GHz Intel Atom CPU and 1GB RAM found in previous models, the new clamshell UMPC comes with integrated 3G (data and voice both supported), Windows 7 Home Premium, and a 64GB SSD. Built-in 3G isn't new, but the other two bullet points are definite improvements over the Windows 7 Starter operating system and 32GB SSD of the earlier units.

Dynamism is expecting this new batch of N5s to arrive at the end of next week and will give you a free second battery with your purchase. I've been using the N5 regularly for the last 2.5 months and have been getting between 4.5 to 5 hours of WiFi use per charge, so you're looking at about 10 hours of runtime with that second battery.

On a related note, we're no longer accepting entries for our Pocketables-Dynamism N5 giveaway, but Dynamism is giving you another chance to win a free N5 with its Twitter haiku contest. The deadline is 6 p.m. EST on September 15th, so get those creative juices flowing and tweet your haiku as soon as possible.

[Dynamism] Thanks, Nate!
