Buy a Dell Streak, get a $100 gift card
As part of its October Days of Deals promotion, Dell is giving $100 promo gift cards to anyone who buys a Streak from the company's website before 6 a.m. Central Time on the 12th.
There's no catch per se, but the asterisk in the banner shown above is there for a reason. For starters, the gift card is shipped separately from the Streak and "typically arrives" in 6 to 8 weeks, meaning it could take longer. And when it arrives, it's also only good for 90 days. I'm guessing it has to be activated for the countdown to begin, but I don't know for sure since the URL given to view the complete terms of the card points to a page that doesn't exist. I also don't know what kind of gift card it is; I assume it's either a Dell.com or Visa gift card, but who knows.
So to summarize, if you buy a Streak before next Tuesday, you can get $100 worth of something else as early as 6 to 8 weeks later and then for 90 days after that.
