Huawei S7 heading to Best Buy with tempting $299 price tag
Following hot on the heels of the Samsung Galaxy Tab's grand entrance into Best Buy is news that the Huawei S7 will also be heading for the retail giant. The company is now taking pre-orders for the tablet for a tempting $299, which is nearly half the price of the more expensive Galaxy Tab models.
Although not a hardware leader in the current competitive tablet market, for the price the Ideos Tablet S7 still possesses good specifications with an underclocked 768MHz Snapdragon processor running Android 2.1, a 7-inch WVGA resistive touch screen, b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, a 2MP rear-facing camera, and a 0.3MP front-facing web cam. While previous versions we have seen have featured full phone functionality, 3G data connectivity, and access to Android Market, the version sold by Best Buy will only have WiFi and I'm uncertain if it will still include Android Market access. Alternatively the original version is available for pre-order on Expansys US for $359. Any takers for this temptingly priced tablet?
