Is Adobe AIR worth installing on your HTC EVO?

Adobe-air-logo It's been several weeks since Adobe AIR was released for Android and while the selection of apps that actually use it has grown since then, so far I don't think there are any standout titles that make the 16MB runtime worth installing on your HTC EVO.

AIR 2.5, released this week, should allow devs to create better Android apps in the future but at the moment, there aren't a whole lot of top-tier choices out there. AppBrain maintains a list of AIR apps, but even the most popular one (currently Gravity Lander) is a far cry from being essential. You can find AIR apps by doing a search for "adobe air" in the Market, too, and while there are some mildly amusing novelties and some other stuff worth a quick look, there just isn't a whole lot to encourage Adobe AIR installation. It's a shame that the timing of the AIR release didn't coincide with any outstanding AIR-reliant app launches.

So what do you think of having AIR available for your EVO? Do any apps make AIR a must-have for you?
