It looks like the build-up to the launch of Windows Phone 7 is starting to pick up speed as we're hearing and seeing more rumors and leaks as October 11th draws ever nearer. With Microsoft's launch partners set to unveil a range of new devices running the new OS, interest in the individual products is starting to grow.

After the free-wheeling pre-launch media spree that paved the way for the official launch of the Samsung Galaxy Tab, it isn't entirely surprising to hear of another leak concerning an upcoming Samsung product, this time in the shape of a WP7 smartphone. Designated the GT-i8700 and also rumored to be called the Omnia 7, the handset stars in a very thorough 13 minute walkthrough video that gives an impressive overview of the new mobile OS. Apart from a closer look at the very slick interface, some other noteworthy things on display include the impressive-looking MS Office hub, Internet Explorer, the media player, marketplace, and the phone's camera.

Overall I think WP7 is looking very promising and I am impressed with the interface, UI design, and performance shown in the video. I'm definitely looking forward to learning about all the details on the software and hardware at the official launch next week. Are you impressed with this sneak peak at WP7?
