eLocity A7 delayed, now scheduled to ship beginning of December

Elocity_a7_delayed

Originally scheduled to ship in October after becoming available for pre-order on Amazon, the eLocity A7 Tegra 2-powered Android tablet from StreamTV is still not being available as we approach the end of November.

This is the latest delay to hit the anticipated device, as it has been pushed back a couple of times with the company most recently pinpointing November 22nd as the launch date. Now the latest information confirms that the company will start shipping units to Amazon at the beginning of December, with the online retailing giant subsequently sending out the units to customers. The manufacturer also added that more information will be provided in the coming days.

With its very impressive specs, reasonable price, and wide availability in the US market, the eLocity A7 has looked like a really exciting development for the tablet market in America. I previously highlighted delays as a potential concern and the realization of those fears is unfortunate. Hopefully the delays are not serious and this setback will be the last before the MID gets pushed out the door, but until we've received official word from either StreamTV or Amazon, I'll be keeping my fingers crossed.
