New US Dell Streak options available: New Cherry Red, 32GB, Froyo

Streak-options-22

I don't know where yesterday's "unlocked for $549" news fits into this, but I received an email from someone at Dell this morning alerting me to the new options now available for the Dell Streak in the US. The 16GB unlocked unit is now $579.

The other new choices are nothing many other countries don't already have, but being able to order the Streak unlocked with Froyo (which Japan got first), or in the long-awaited New Cherry Red color (which the UK has had since July and France got in August), or with 32GB of internal storage (UK in July again) is still wonderful news to anyone in the US who doesn't have a Streak yet or is still within another store's "no questions asked" return period.

You can always upgrade to Android 2.2 yourself, buy your own 32GB card, and get your Streak unlocked, of course, so the real news here is really just that New Cherry Red is available now.

All of the new options are expected to ship on December 8th.
