I'm not sure what kind of backwards logic is behind this decision, but now that the white HTC EVO 4G is no longer a Best Buy exclusive and thus available from many different retailers, Radio Shack seems to think that it should cost more than the original black EVO.
Why else would the company be selling the original one for $99.99 with a new Sprint acccount and the white one for $149.99 also with a new Sprint account?
A contract extension for existing customers reduces the $50 price difference by $20 ($149.99 for the black EVO, $179.99 for the white EVO), but the white one still costs more.
It's less than Sprint's price, yes, but what gives?
Funny thing is that if you take a closer look at the screenshots (click for larger view), you'll see that the numbers listed in the "Value" column actually indicate that the black EVO is worth $150 more than the white one ($649.99 vs $499.99), which makes The Shack's pricing even stranger.
Both colors should obviously cost the same, but if one of them has to be more expensive, it shouldn't be the white one. It's only half white so if anything, it should cost less!
