Unlocked Dell Streak with Froyo coming to US

Streak-unlocked-froyo They say that good things come to those who wait. And if you still haven't bought your Dell Streak yet, then I guess that old saying is true.

Within the next few weeks, Dell.com will begin selling unlocked Streaks in the US with Android 2.2 (Froyo) preinstalled. It's everything most early adopters wanted months ago, and it's going to be given to anyone who resisted temptation and decided to wait.

Current Streak owners just found out today how the Froyo OTA update will work and considering that the news left most unhappy, hearing about these upcoming unlocked Froyo Streaks will be like kicking them when they're down.

No word yet on how much these new Streaks will cost, let alone which 3G bands it'll support, but those and other details should be revealed as the release date draws near.

I'm always paranoid that information is going to get pulled (it's happened several times before), so here's a screen cap just in case:
