OTA and package links for official Froyo update for O2-locked Dell Streak

O2-logo-links As promised, O2 has begun its rollout of the official Android 2.2 update (build 12792) for all Dell Streaks locked to its network.

The carrier is pushing out the update over the next few days, so don't panic if checking for it manually results in a "your device is up to date" message. If you can't wait, however, here are the links that will take you through the update process. Visit them (US or EU, depending on your current baseband) from your Streak.

If you want to apply the update manually, you can download the official update package (build 12792) here:

To install it, rename the downloaded file to Update.pkg, move it to the root directory of your microSD card, boot into recovery mode (hold down both volume buttons and press the power button) and select the second option, "Software upgrade via Update.pkg on SD card."

Thanks, Mauricio!
