Shiny Dell logo on Streak battery cover could fall off

Streak-back-logoHow's that shiny silver logo on your Dell Streak's battery cover holding up?

Mine is still scratch-free and showing absolutely no signs of wear, but based on what I've read over at the MoDaCo forums, some of yours may not be in mint condition anymore.

Apparently, the only thing keeping the Dell logo and battery cover together is some cheap glue that doesn't seem to be doing its job very well. Whether it's the circle outline, the final "L," or even the entire logo, some users are reporting that pieces of the silver emblem are peeling/falling off in hot weather, warm pockets, and even from just plain old regular use.

Not all Streaks are affected by this, as I live in Hawaii (where it's currently 81 degrees), have applied and peeled off adhesive vinyl skins, and usually keep my Streak laying caseless on its back, but it might be something you want to check on every now and then.

I don't know if Dell would actually send you a new battery cover if the logo fell off, though I suppose for marketing/branding purposes, they definitely should!
