ZAGG LEATHERskins stick to HTC EVO back cover
We all know ZAGG as the maker of the invisibleSHIELD, but did you know that the company also sells a series of thin adhesive skins made of 100% genuine cattle-hide leather?
They're called LEATHERskins (yes, ZAGG's capitalization abuse bothers me too) and are available right now for the HTC EVO in five different styles: plain tan, embossed tan, plain black, embossed black, and premium alligator. The tan and black varieties will run you $29.99 apiece, while the premium alligator costs an extra $5, presumably to cover the expenses associated with hunting leather alligators.
While I kind of like the embossed black one, I don't like how the LEATHERskins in general don't fit the back cover perfectly the way most of the vinyl skins out there do. You can see from the photos above that the skin covers the back plate unevenly, leaving a border of exposed plastic that varies in width.
Leather skins are certainly an interesting idea, but I need the fit to be flawless before I even think about giving up my carbon fiber vinyl skin.
[ZAGG LEATHERskins] Thanks, @kstagg!
