T-Mobile leaked document outs $299.99 Dell Streak 7 price, confirms February 2nd release

Streak-7-300

You'd think that after T-Mobile went out of its way to let StreakSmart and other sites know that the Dell Streak 7's guesstimated $330 on-contract price was due to a technical error, the real price of the upcoming 7-inch Android tablet would actually be wildly different.

But according to another leaked document marked "Confidential and Proprietary Information of T-Mobile USA," the Streak 7 will be $299.99 after a rebate of unknown denomination. Regardless of the upfront cost, then, the difference between the final cost and the "technical error" price is only $30, assuming of course that the leaked information is current/final. This is the first time we've seen a $299.99 price tag attached to the device, so don't bet your house on that number just yet.

One detail that the new leak has corroborated, however, is the Streak 7's release date. It was said to be February 2nd last week, and this week we see that date listed as the big day again. I'd at least bet the garage on this one.

Now all we need is for T-Mobile to 1) announce all the official details and 2) let us know how much the device will cost off-contract, which is how I think most people will want to buy it.
