T-Mobile says $330 price for Dell Streak 7 is “the result of a technical error”

Streak7-tmo-incpri I hope you didn't break open your piggy bank and start counting out $330 worth of pennies following yesterday's news about the possible on-contract price of the Dell Streak 7.

In response to StreakSmart's story, T-Mobile's PR folks reached out to tell me that "the Dell Streak 7 pricing information that appears on T-Mobile's website is the result of a technical error and is incorrect." They also reconfirmed that the device would be available "in the coming weeks" (February 2nd definitely qualifies for being included in that timeframe) and said that pricing and availability details would be shared "in the near future."

It will certainly be interesting to find out  just how "incorrect" the $330 turns out to be, don't you think? The price must be off by a pretty significant chunk for the company to bother with sending out a correction.

Looks like we'll have to wait a few more weeks before we can compare T-Mobile's definition of "amazingly priced" with our own.
