Man sends second HTC EVO 4G screen to the grave

Htc-evo-cracked-screen-em When your HTC EVO 4G slips out of your hand and falls face-down on the pavement, it's most certainly an accident. Even when the screen is so shattered that it looks more like an art installation than evidence of that split-second you wish you could take back, no one would ever suspect that foul play was involved.

But when your second HTC EVO 4G meets a similarly gruesome fate a few months later, which means that you've then managed to get two EVO screens smashed to bits within a six-month period, well . . . let's just say that my EVO won't be going over to your house for a playdate any time soon.

G&E reader Earl, the man with the shards of glass in his hands, even had the foresight to purchase insurance when picking up his first EVO. He'll have to pay $100 out of pocket to get a replacement, sure, but no one said exterminating EVOs was cheap.

Just kidding, Earl! But if that third EVO ends up in a ditch, you can bet the gadget authorities will be at your door.
