Apple doesn’t seem overly concerned about Motorola’s idiotic Xoom ads making fun of their tablet, but apparently they don’t extend the same courtesy to everyone. Dean Kaplan, a guy who’s had a bit of success with iPad/iPhone stensils and sketchbooks (neither are apps, btw) went on to create a wooden iPad shaped cutting board. Maybe Apple was afraid that people would think the iPad is a cutting board (like that Chinese tablet), because they sent their lawyers on the poor guy, citing it was too much like the iPad. Seriously, Apple? You’re sending lawyers after a guy making wooden iPad cutting borads? Are you really that bored? Weak, Apple, very weak. God help us all when they discover Etsy.
