HTC EVO camera lens finds unlikely protection in iPhone 4 invisibleSHIELD
The last thing you'd expect to get when you buy someone an invisibleSHIELD for their iPhone 4 is a little something for your HTC EVO 4G.
So imagine G&E reader Nick's surprise when he discovered that the small round piece of the military-grade skin that was meant to be applied to the home button of his girlfriend's iPhone was a perfect fit for the EVO's camera lens.
A case that recesses the lens or a product like Cell Innovations' camera lens protector (reminder: giveaway ends tomorrow!) is a better way to keep the lens scratch-free since neither involves putting anything over it, but if someone you know has an iPhone 4 invisibleSHIELD and didn't use the home button piece, then it might be worth fishing out of the garbage. Even if it ends up right back in the can after you decide you don't like it, you should at least try it. No sense throwing away something that could end up being useful. One man's trash is another man's treasure, right?
