iPad 2 launch causes iPad 1 price drop

ipadsale - for some reason we don't have an alt tag here

The online Apple Stores are back up after the iPad 2 update and the interesting thing is that the iPad 1 is now available at a discounted price! The UK price is now £329 for instance, down from something like £429. Here in Norway it’s down from 4100NOK to 3200NOK for the cheapest model. I originally thought the US didn’t get this discounted price as their default “buy an iPad” page only show the new models, but you can get the old one there as well starting at $399. Apple doesn’t normally discount old devices this way but this time it seems as though they’re trying to get the old iPad out of the way. If you’re in the market for an iPad and don’t care about the new features, here’s your chance!
