UK-based Elonex releases 7″ eTouch 760ET tablet

- for some reason we don't have an alt tag here

Thetechjournal.com reports on a new 7″ eTouch 760ET  tablet from Elonex, a UK company. The tablet has a 800×480 pixel resistive (ugh) touchscreen, Android 2.2, Wifi, HDMI, microSD, accelerometer, webcam and a 1Ghz CPU. The interesting part though is the price; £99. That is about $160, but the UK has higher prices than the US on everything due to higher wages and more buying power, so it would be about the same as a $99 tablet in the US- which should indeed raise some eyebrows. Even with that screen, it’s a very cheap tablet for the price, and should be a decent starter tablet for those who don’t want to shell out for an iPad or something in that price range. If you’re in the UK, you might want to check it out.
