Good and EVO

CrowdGather acquires Good and EVO!

Crowdgather_LogoLast year, when I decided to start Good and EVO after four years of devoting the majority of my life online to Pocketables (my mobile gadget site), the possibility of it ever being acquired never crossed my mind. G&E was my first attempt at running a site dedicated to a single device, and I had no idea if I could make it work or if I'd run out of things to say in a few months.

Today, eleven months later, I can't believe that I'm linking to a press release (below) announcing that G&E—as well as Pocketables and StreakSmart, my Dell Streak site—has been acquired by CrowdGather, a leading network of forum communities that now serves 135 million page views per month.

This acquisition is an important step for G&E, as it will gain the site more exposure, improve the forum, and really just make it better. As editor-in-chief, I'm not going anywhere and will continue on as the head writer here. You'll still see regular updates, ROM features, accessory reviews, tips and tricks, giveaways, and news stories about the HTC EVO 4G, upcoming EVO 3D and EVO View 4G, and any other EVO waiting to join the family, so whatever you currently come to G&E for will still be here.

I've also accepted a role at CrowdGather as the Director of Content Management, managing a team of writers across the network, so my life online is about to get busier and more exciting. I'm looking forward to the new adventure and hope that you'll come along with me.

None of this would have been possible without you, the readers, and I'd like to thank you for all your continued support, encouragement, feedback, and willingness to help each other. Your kind "just because" emails have brightened more than a few of my days, and I'm constantly humbled by your generous words. You guys are awesome!
