CyanogenMod 7 for HTC EVO 4G gets Bluetooth mouse pointer support
When CyanogenMod 7 was released for the HTC EVO 4G last week, some users were disappointed that the Bluetooth mouse pointer that worked beautifully in CM6 and other custom ROMs didn't make it into the final version.
CM7 hasn't been formally updated to include the mouse support that a lot of folks miss, but sbradymobile from the CyanogenMod Forum has just put out a flashable .zip (download here) that gives the people what they want.
Once a Bluetooth mouse is successfully paired to the EVO and the mouse pointer is enabled (Settings > CyanogenMod Settings > Input), you can go ahead and use your phone as a desktop computer again. A left-click on the mouse is the same as a tap on the screen, a middle/scroll-click will open a menu, and a right-click on the mouse does the job of your EVO's back button. The pointer will rotate along with the current app's screen orientation, too.
