iWah stand for iPad gives guitar players a helping…eh…foot

iwah - for some reason we don't have an alt tag here

The iWah stands from II:XX are special aluminum stands designed for guitar players. A lot of apps on iOS allows you to connect electric guitars and use the iPad as a mixer box/effects device/amp/whatever, and some of these apps use the accelerometer to control these effects. The iWah stands secure the ipad right beside a foot pedal, so that you can control the movement of the iPad using your foot. The result is a foot controlled iPad guitar accessory that should make it easier for the player to concentrate on actually playing music. Quite brilliant, if you ask me. Also reminds me a bit of the iKlip, which is a another music related iPad stand that makes it easier to use for singing, karaoke, holding sheet music etc. Another great example of how useful tablets can be in the right hands.

  • So are you supposed to switch effects and stuff with your big toe? :P

    • No… when you move the iPad using the pedal, the accelerometer reacts and varies the effect currently in use
