Postagram: send physical post cards from your iOS device

postagram - for some reason we don't have an alt tag here

Postagram is a new service that lets you use your Instagram photos to create custom post cards that are then printed and shipped worldwide. The first one is free, with a sale price of $0.99 and a normal price of $1.99 per card, regardless of where it’s sent. For some peculiar reason you need to enter your credit card details in the app, which is definitely not the way to go in terms of looking thrust-worth (not when there’s the in-app purchasing system), but the card I sent myself when the app came out a week ago turned up just fine today- half way across the world from the US to Norway. You do need an Instagram account, which is yet another peculiar concept, but once you have that set up you can choose from the photos you have there. The printed images can be popped out of the card when it arrives and kept as a small photo print. The third peculiarity is that this isn’t available worldwide- I know it’s in the US store and not in the Norwegian one, not sure if it’s US only or what the deal is. Works just fine from Norway and the service is very cheap for what it does, so there are always ways of getting the app.
