SplashTop (iOS) on sale for $1.99 until Monday

splashtop1 - for some reason we don't have an alt tag here

SplashTop is one of my favorite apps, because it does a very impressive thing and it does it so well that it makes it seem like it’s no big deal. It’s a remote computer app that I reviewed a few weeks ago that allows you to remote control your computer via your home network (and technically over the Internet but that’s buggy). It’s the only one I know of which is fast and smooth enough to watch video, which combined with audio support means you can forget about media players and file formats on the iPad as long as you have a fast enough connection to your home computer. Well, enough about how awesome it is (read the review), the point here is that it’s on sale for $1.99 until Monday, allegedly to boost the morale of people who didn’t get a tax refund. The normal price is only $4.99 which it’s well worth, so at $1.99 it should be on everyone’s iPad. If you don’t have it, run off to iTunes and get it! No sale for the Android version though, it seems.
