Write&Say gives your iPad multilingual text-to-speech

Write&say is a pretty cool app I happened to stumble over that gives your iOS device the ability to turn text into speech in several languages. While it doesn’t support document imports through normal means, you can cope and paste text from anywhere into the app’s internal document system. You then have a whole load of controls and options to make that text into speech. It has multiple built in languages from English to Norwegian and Arabic, and by means of a tie-in with Google Translate it can also translate text between the supported languages. A very powerful app both for the blind and anyone else who needs text-to-speech, including tourists in other countries who can have the app translate and speak for them. At $4.99 I dare say it’s cheap for what it does as well.
