BeBook Live Tablet available at bargain price
Not too long ago, new tablets were priced rather high. Luckily for us, prices are coming down and a company called BeBook Live, better known for ebook readers, has a great entry tablet priced at $279.
When it's released on June 21st, the BeBook Live Tablet will be running Android 2.2 with some very similar specs to the Samsung Galaxy Tab, such as a single-core Hummingbird Cortex A8 processor and 512MB of RAM. It will only have 4GB of internal storage, but space can easily this can be upgraded with a microSD/SDHC card. The device also has a 2-megapixel front facing camera for those that really would like to do video chat, yet it has no rear camera.
BeBook Live mentions that you can download apps or other add-on software to the tablet, but makes not mention of the Android Market or other Google apps so they're probably not included.
For the price, you might not be getting Gorilla Glass, but if the BeBook Live Tablet can deliver good battery life and reasonable quality, then it can be a good deal for the consumers not willing to pay $399 or more for a tablet.
