Dell calls T-Mobile Streak 7's usual $199.99 price a "limited time offer"

Streak-7-limited-offer

Considering that the Dell Streak 7 was released at a price of $199.99 with a new two-year T-Mobile contract three months ago, I'm not sure why Dell sent out emails yesterday to tell people about its "limited time offer" of . . . sellling the Streak 7 for $199.99 with a new two-year T-Mobile contract.

I originally thought that since the promo makes no mention of 4G, the special offer was really for the WiFi-only Streak 7 and someone just forgot to delete the bit about T-Mobile. The company doesn't have the best track record of getting their stuff right, after all. But clicking on the "Shop Now" button just took me to the regular product page with the standard set of options (WiFi-only, 4G w/contract, 4G w/o contract) for the standard prices ($399.99, $199.99, $449.99).

Too bad, really, because I bet WiFi Streak 7s at $199.99 would sell pretty well.

Thanks, Arthur!
