Dell Streak 7 meets HTC Flyer

The Dell Streak 7 may be finding its way into more hands thanks to the temporary price reduction, but the WiFi-only HTC Flyer—released on Sunday for $499 exclusively at Best Buy—is vying for some ownership love too.

I've had one on loan from HTC since Friday and although I plan to buy the better-looking, 4G-enabled Sprint variation, the HTC EVO View 4G, when it launches this summer instead, it's still the most enjoyable 7-inch Android tablet I've ever used. And yes, I know I'm saying that on a site dedicated to the Streak.

Although it lacks the dual-core processor that the Streak 7 has, it has a higher resolution screen, better battery life, a beautiful tablet-optimized version of HTC Sense, 32GB of built-in storage, a unique capacitive pressure-sensitive digital pen (sold separately), and a slightly more compact form factor that makes it fit better in my hands. I still have a soft spot for the Streak 7, but if it wasn't for this site, I can't say that I'd ever choose to pick it up over the Flyer.

To each his own, though, so if you're sitting on the fence between both devices, here are some comparison shots that may make it easier for you to decide which way to fall over.
